MAD STUDIO SESSIONS
Mad Studio Sessions was a music performance series developed by Rosie Whatmuff and Aaron Hamilton Gold. Where I had the opportunity of First Assistant Directing on the pilot episode and then the series.
The series is a part interview and part performance series. Think of shows like The Set on ABC. You can watch the performance of Jordan Kenny's Sleep is good, which was recorded during Mad Studio Sessions here:
The series became a 5 X 5 minute music series in the second half of last year with performances which some of Sydney's best local acts all coming into the AFTRS building to create some fantastic performances, which looked like music videos.
My film festival experience and working to a schedule helped me to make sure that on the production they were keeping to time and because of this the production always ended on time or early, with the shot list from the director being completely done.
There was much discussion through the production of this series to get funding through City of Sydney.
