Crew of What's Your Flava? 2022

About Me
I am a director, producer, writer, host and film programmer based in Sydney who has been highly engaged working in the LGBT screen space. I have won the Frank Wells Dedication Award for service of contributions to Queer Screen.
I have been on the selection committee for festivals like Mardi Gras Film Festival, Queer Screen Film Fest, Flickerfest and Scout Film Festival in Boston. I host and produce Orbital Radio's Film Festival Guide where I interview filmmakers about their work and asks film festival directors and programmers about film festival trends. I also interview filmmakers from diverse backgrounds to gain insights into their filmmaking process and how to get films distributed for mainstream success through the festival ecosystem.
I also created Australia's inaugural queer horror short film showcase to celebrate horror cinema. I have through his work at festivals developed an understanding of the world of cinema as well as an extensive network within the international film festival circuit. Through my work at prestigious film festivals like Flickerfest, I have explored elements of social media to market and gain exposure to films screening in the programme by creating showreels, sizzle reels and customised social media posts for online circulation.
As a creative producer I am enthusiastic to tell stories that challenge the status quo and believe that media has the power to entertain and inform as well as challenge public perception of minority communities. As a gay autistic man, I want to encourage more creatives like me to tell their own stories and amplify their own voice.
I aim to develop my own content has a a creative producer, and am open for creative collabration in the arts to pursue creation and exhibition of content in both traditional forms as well as new and emerging platforms, such as TikTok and Virtual Reality.
